Basics of InDesign for Wedding Album Design (part 1)

Class Overview:
Students will learn the basics of Adobe InDesign and how to put together a wedding album template along with techniques to get you started on your first wedding album. Having a laptop computer for this workshop may be helpful but is not essential.

Engagement Shootout (couples welcome to apply at no cost)

Time: 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Fee: $60 per student
Class Overview:
Students will have the opportunity to work with real couples with Jen’s expert advice on locations, staging, and concepts. Helpful tips will be taugh on how to get your couples to look their best as well as how to take more professional looking photographs. Class size is limited to 20 students. A basic understanding of image archiving will be needed. You will be providing the couples you work with your high resolution files on a DVD as a courtesy for being your guinea pig.
Bridal Shootout (models with gowns welcome to apply at no cost)

Class Overview:
Students will have the opportunity to work with models, dresses, florists, hair and makeup artists, along with Jen’s expert advice on locations, staging, and concepts. Helpful tips will be taught on how to get the bride to look her best as well as how to take more professional looking photographs. Class size is limited to 20 students. A basic understanding of image archiving will be needed. You will be providing the models and stylists you work with your high resolution files on a DVD as a courtesy.
B O O K B I N D I N G
Bookbinding
Date: Sunday, May 17
Time: 10:00 am to 4:30 pm
Location: Art Center College of Design, Pasadena
Fee: $100 per student (all materials included)
Class Overview:
Learn how to hand bind all of your book projects yourself. In this one day class held at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, you will learn traditional and non traditional methods of bookbinding, including the multi section “all along” stitch, Stab stitch (modified to create a digitally printed, hard cover book), and Saddle stitch. This class is packed with valuable information that you will use throughout your career and life.
